Preschool is much more than the years before primary school. Between three and six, children learn language, thinking, friendship and how to manage their feelings – and they learn all of it best through play and real experiences.

At Altın Anahtar, the preschool programme is for children aged 3 to 6. Teaching is in Turkish, with English in the daily programme and regular lessons with our English teacher. Younger children join our nursery, and primary-school pupils can come to our study centre.

A Play-Based Approach
Preschool children learn best through play, exploration and experience. Building a block tower teaches balance and counting, pretend play builds language and empathy, and painting develops colour sense and fine motor skills.
Our specialist teachers for English, music, PE and kids' yoga, art and drama bring extra variety to the week, while the class teacher makes sure every activity connects to what the children are ready to learn next.
What Does School Readiness Really Mean?
Being ready for school does not mean reading and writing early. What matters more is attention, self-care, expressing feelings, following simple rules and a positive attitude to learning.
These are the skills we pay most attention to as children approach school age, so that the move to primary school feels like a natural next step rather than a leap.

Our preschool classes are for children aged 3 to 6. Younger children can join our nursery from 12 months.
What language is the preschool taught in?
Teaching is in Turkish. English is part of the daily programme and children have lessons with our English teacher.
Do children learn to read and write at preschool?
The aim is not to teach reading early but to build the foundations: listening to sounds, vocabulary, storytelling and holding a pencil comfortably.
Do children have lunch at school?
Yes. Meals follow a menu planned by our dietitian. Let us know about allergies or special diets when you register.
When should I apply?
We recommend getting in touch early to ask about places and start dates. You can request information through the pre-registration form.
What are the opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 18:30.
